New Tax Challans Live for Income Tax Act, 2025 on e-Filing Portal

New Challans for Income Tax Act, 2025 Now Available

Starting April 1, 2026, new challans for tax payments under the Income Tax Act, 2025, are live on the Income Tax e-Filing Portal.

How to Access New Challans:

Navigate to: e File → e Pay Tax → Select “Income Tax Act, 2025” → New Payment → Select the applicable tile.

Applicable Acts:

• For tax payments relating to Tax Year 2026–27 or subsequent years, the Income Tax Act, 2025 will apply.
• For payments pertaining to periods before Tax Year 2026–27 (i.e., Assessment Year 2026–27 or earlier), the Income Tax Act, 1961 remains applicable.

Both "Income Tax Act, 2025" and "Income Tax Act, 1961" tax payment options are available on the e-filing portal. Users are advised to consult the User Manuals for detailed instructions on the new challan forms.
