New Tax Challans Live for Income Tax Act, 2025

Effective April 1, 2026, new challan forms for tax payments under the Income Tax Act, 2025, have been activated on the Income Tax e-Filing Portal.

How to Access New Challans

To make payments using these new challans, navigate to: e File → e Pay Tax → Select “Income Tax Act, 2025” → New Payment → Select the applicable tile.

Applicable Tax Acts

• For tax payments pertaining to Tax Year 2026–27 or any subsequent years, the Income Tax Act, 2025, will be applicable.
• For payments concerning periods before Tax Year 2026–27 (i.e., Assessment Year 2026–27 or earlier), the Income Tax Act, 1961, remains in effect.
